2. Owning your kart is the best approach when you want full control over your practice time and setup. You can choose either traditional 2-stroke combustion engines – especially if you enjoy mechanics or have support – or opt for a lower maintenance yet powerful electric kart.

Many drivers rent for a while, try Arrive & Drive, then buy a kart once they know their budget, time commitment, and goals. Regardless of the path, always start to race locally, and then move into higher levels once you're ready.

We recommend checking the venue’s official calendar before visiting to confirm "Open Practice" or "Karting Days," as many tracks also host motorcycle-only events where karts are not permitted.
