New E10 Category Confirmed for the 2026 RMC Grand Finals
Following the announcement of the Rotax E10 market availability earlier this month, BRP-Rotax is pleased to share another important update: the Rotax E10 Mini will be introduced as an official category at the 2026 Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals.
For the first time, 36 young drivers will compete in a dedicated all-electric E10 Mini class. Entry is not available for purchase - drivers must earn their seat through selected race events and initiatives throughout the 2026 season. More information on qualification formats and opportunities will be shared through the official Rotax Distributor network. A New Category, A New Energy
The addition of the E10 Mini category broadens the diversity of powertrains represented at the RMC Grand Finals. It does not replace any combustion categories; instead, it provides an additional, accessible way to experience competitive kart racing.
The E10 Mini offers everything young drivers need to compete on equal terms:

E10: Expanding What Karting Can Offer
Developed entirely in-house, the E10 platform introduces a clean, quiet, and easy-to-operate approach to karting that benefits families, race schools, organizers, and track operators. With its low-voltage design, minimal maintenance, and plug & race usability, the E10 helps make the sport more accessible to young newcomers while complementing the established combustion engine range.
The E10 Bambini (ages 6–9) and E10 Mini (ages 9–12) form a progressive pathway for children developing their race craft - leading naturally to the Rotax E20, an electric performance category already present at top-level events.
