BRP-Rotax is pleased to confirm the 2026 events of the E20 E-Kart featuring at the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy international championship. Bringing two adrenalin-packed rounds of electric karting to the second stage of the elite series in Belgium and the Czech Republic also offers the exciting chance to qualify for the RMC Grand Finals. This year the flagship event takes place at Portimão, Portugal with both E20 Senior and E20 Masters lining up on the grid in Algarve for another action-driven week dedicated to the Rotax racing stars this season.

Following the market introduction of the Rotax E10, BRP-Rotax is bringing electric karting into competitive RMC (Rotax MAX Challenge) racing. The E10 Mini will now feature as a dedicated category in selected Rotax MAX Challenge championships and race events worldwide, where drivers can qualify for the RMC Grand Finals. The E10 category will debut on the international stage this year in Portimão, Portugal.

Kyle Lawrence has not only been a competitor at the RMC Grand Finals with Team South Africa during his successful racing career, but in 2024 he joined the livestream media team in Italy. He is now focussed on helping to develop the new generation of karters at home. Before he left Sarno, Kyle took the chance to put the Rotax E20 through its paces on track.

BRP-Rotax, in cooperation with Authorised Rotax Distributor Kart-Shop Italia, announces the first Rotax Electric Kart Cup Italy 2025 as a feature category on the weekend of August 30th - 31st at the Circuito Internazionale di Napoli. Joining the RMC Grand Festival for the youngest racers, which travels to Italy this year to combine with the local southern championship, it’s also just a week before the closing round of the RMC Euro Trophy. This will definitely be a jam-packed fortnight of spectacular racing!

BRP-Rotax proudly announces that its full lineup of Rotax 125 MAX Evo Kart Engines and E20 Powertrain has received official CIK-FIA Approval since the 2024 racing season. This milestone covers the entire range of engines, from the single-speed Rotax Micro MAX, Mini MAX, Junior MAX, and Senior MAX, as well as the two-speed gearbox-equipped DD2 and the E20 categories.

He’s also the promoter of Prince Carl Philip’s Racing Trophy and Swedish E-Kart Championship with the Rotax E20. A man truly passionate about racing since he was competing himself, Thomas has teamed up with Prince Carl Philip and Porsche racing in Scandinavia to build a successful future for the new generation in karting.

Prince Carl Philip is the Duke of Värmland in Sweden and a familiar face on the race track – both in karts and racing cars. He started driving about 20 years ago and has been competing since 2008, now a regular entry in Porsche Carrera Cup & Sprint Challenge Scandinavia.

Albert Friend (Mini MAX), Casper Nissen (Junior MAX), Matthew Higgins (Senior MAX), Enzo Bol (DD2), Nicolas Picot (DD2 Masters), Spencer Brougham (E20), and Hector Ramirez (E20 Masters) are the 2024 champions, with Picot repeating his success from 2023.

The second edition of the Swedish E-Kart Championship, featuring the Rotax E20 electric karts, has made its way into the history books at Gelleråsen Arena near the city of Karlskoga. The winner of the 2024 national title was Junior Jonsson in the Senior category, while Jonatan Morin took the honours in the Masters. Both the winners were awarded with their tickets to join Team Sweden at the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals taking place in Sarno, Italy this October 19-26.
