Motorsport racer Luca Koester had an exciting season in 2022: The 25-year-old driver from Germany fearlessly took on international circuits, leaving a trail of success in his wake. After clinching the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy, Luca secured his ticket to the RMC Grand Finals in Portimão, Portugal. There, too, the Kart-Magazin.de reporter was among the top drivers, narrowly missing out on overall victory in the closing moments of the final. In his personal background story, Luca looks back on the events and reports on the memorable experiences from his first all-electric racing season.

We have been running the British Universities Karting Championship (BUKC) since 2001 so this year marks our 21st season! Over that time we estimate that we've introduced more than 12,000 students to 2-stroke kart racing through Club100.
Our first ever Academy day on March 26, 2022 for the new Cadet category along with new Junior drivers went extremely well with 80 Cadets (8 to 12 years) and 104 Juniors (13 to 18 years). They were divided into groups to run half in the morning and half in the afternoon.
Prior to the event we sent all the drivers and parents a video to watch which explained how the day will work, about the kart adjustments, ballast and seat inserts. This I'm sure helped.
The success story of Club100 in the UK continues to build momentuwith every season, having had a record number of drivers participating in 2021 in the increasingly popular ‘Arrive & Drive’ championships powered by Rotax 125 MAX engines.
